New Life !! Same story ... But ..I will change it !! :)

Actually I should be working on my assignments now, but couldn't stop myself from coming here. Its been a really really long time since I last wrote something up here. Feels so good to be back here :)
New life because I am in a new country ! Chasing my dreams!! yes :) I am living my dream actually.
Same story is about something that I have lately developed. Fear. Phobia. I just watched a movie- Pink . Script was perfect! Simply great! And yes, the power packed performances by all.. It made me cry at the end. I get very emotional when it comes about women's safety in India. Its something that I dont want to talk about. Because I feel scared. As a Country, we have failed to make our women feel safe anywhere, anytime. I have been scratching my brains thinking how do I change this situation ? What is the best way? Policies, Education,Promotion, Or Behavior change? I think it has to start with the behavior change. Men need to be taught to respect every woman they meet . We, as a society should stop judging women and girls by their clothes, their choice of drinking or not drinking, their choice of staying out late night. What kind of a society have we become, that we blame a girl if she gets raped..????? We FAIL....We fail at the very basic level of making our women feel safe as a society. Women are just not the objects of sexual desires. When and how will the men in our country understand this??? The responsibility not only rests on men's shoulders, but also women who think like those men. There should be a change. The way we teach our boys, "stop crying like a girl" , this is the most ridiculous statement I have been hearing all my life. Why can't a man cry? Why crying is perceived as a girl's emotion? Stop gender stereotyping emotions....Crying is just an emotion. It is not related to being weak or even being a woman. And coming to being weak, why are women perceived as weak? It feels like there is so much to change and where do I start from ...
But this has to change. And it has to start from each one of us. Because we are a part of this society and We , make this country. So, lets start it from us. Lets stop gender stereotyping as a first step .
